Flameshaper
Contrary to popular belief, the bow and arrow are not the principal weapons of choice in every culture when it comes to ranged combat. This holds especially true for the Helrin, who favor the vigor and radiance of fire.
Since the onset of the Age of Dusk, it has been the flameshapers—arcanists aboard Helrin vessels—who have burned paths through the encroaching dark. Gifted with an innate connection to Helios-Hiperia, the Sun Goddess, they are highly revered in the sun-blessed land of Helion.
In modern times, flameshapers serve as a crucial component of the Expeditionary Force, offering Helion a decisive advantage even in naval warfare. These are typically younger adepts, driven by duty and zeal, who enlist to serve their nation with everything they possess.
A single flameshaper is formidable in their own right, wielding pyromantic arts with the precision of a seasoned battlemage. But when gathered into a conclave or strike unit, their combined power can ignite battlefields and send enemy ranks scattering in panic.
"They call it pyromancy, huh? Fancy word fer settin’ stuff on fire, if ya ask me."
