Citadel Guard

There are Rin born with a severed connection to mana—beings untouched by its flow, resistant to its currents, and largely impervious to magical harm. In ancient times, such individuals were feared, branded as tainted, even unnatural. But when the Age of Dusk began and the grasp of profanity spread across the land, it was they alone who remained unaffected.

In time, they came to be revered as the “Chosen of Hyperia”, honored with the sacred title: “Shield of the Helrin.”

These rare few now serve as the unbreakable bulwark of the capital, stationed within the Citadel, the heart of Helrin civilization. As their numbers are few, their presence is precious—one can only hope to have a Citadel Guard near when the moment of crisis strikes.

Heavily armed, nearly immune to magic, and trained with absolute rigor, Citadel Guards are sometimes dispatched beyond the capital. They may be assigned to critical expeditions, or tasked with guarding individuals of immense political or spiritual significance.
