THE GUILD
The Adventurers’ Guild is among the most renowned and far-reaching institutions in Calad, with branches across nearly every territory. It exists to meet society’s needs—from the trivial to the dire—by employing those willing to trade their skill for coin. Welcoming all, regardless of origin or past, the Guild serves as a second home to many. Whether traveling alone or avoiding the chaos of free companies, adventurers often turn to the Guild for structure, stability, and steady work. Acting on behalf of cities, lords, or other contractors, the Guild issues tasks ranging from menial errands to high-risk ventures with commensurate rewards. Though officially neutral, it remains deeply entangled in local affairs, sometimes intervening where others dare not. Driven by profit and information, the Guild is also a lifeline—offering shelter, food, and a second chance to those seeking escape from poverty or obscurity.

SEMI-NEUTRAL MODELS
Take note of semi-neutral models. While they may maintain ties to a specific faction, they prefer autonomy and frequently act as hired swords, pursuing personal goals beyond their homeland. They can be recruited into parties alongside members of other factions, though their allegiance may waver—and they cannot fully benefit from faction-specific leader stratagems.
