Frequently Asked Questions
Eldfall Chronicles is a fantasy tabletop miniatures game set in the world of Calad, featuring two fully compatible modes: Skirmish Wargame (tactical battles) and Dungeon Crawl (narrative campaigns). It features high-quality miniatures designed for easy assembly, exceptional detail, and durability.
The Skirmish Wargame focuses on tactical battles between small warbands, while Dungeon Crawl offers narrative-driven campaigns centered on cooperative and solo play. Both modes use the same miniatures, and most core rules are shared.
The main difference lies in how the game is played. Skirmish Wargame is fought on open battlefields using 3D terrain, with distances measured using a measuring tool. Dungeon Crawl, on the other hand, takes place on thematic tiles with marked spaces, where measurement is not required.
Combat and core mechanics remain similar across both modes, making it easy to transition from one to the other.
To begin, choose the game mode that interests you most.
- For Skirmish Wargame, start with a Starter Set. It includes everything you need to begin playing right away.
- For Dungeon Crawl, start with a Core Box, which includes everything needed to play a full campaign.
All core rules are available as free PDF downloads in the Resources section. Additional tools, model profiles, etc., can also be accessed through the Guild Hall companion app.
Yes. Eldfall Chronicles supports multiple play styles:
- Competitive play – primarily in Skirmish Wargame mode and the standard format for tournaments.
- Cooperative play – supported in both Skirmish Wargame and Dungeon Crawl, with Dungeon Crawl placing a stronger focus on it.
- Solo play – available in both modes using automated enemy behavior.
Most skirmish wargame games require a small warband of approximately 3–6 miniatures per side, depending on the chosen scenario and point level. Starter Sets are designed to provide everything needed for your first games, while Reinforcement Packs can offer an alternative way to begin or expand your force.
We recommend starting with 65-point games (typically 3 models), then progressing to 85-point games (usually 3–6 models), which is the standard for competitive play.
- Skirmish Wargame games typically last 30–60 minutes.
- Dungeon Crawl quests usually take 60–120 minutes. Full Dungeon Crawl campaigns are played over multiple sessions.
Yes. Miniatures and character profiles are fully compatible across both Skirmish and Dungeon Crawl, allowing you to use the same collection in multiple ways.
Eldfall Chronicles miniatures are produced in 32mm heroic scale.
Eldfall Chronicles miniatures are made of Unicool Hard Plastic, a durable resin-based material that combines high detail with the strength of hard plastic.
If a part is bent, you can easily adjust its shape by dipping it in hot (not boiling) water for a few seconds, or by using hot air (e.g., a hairdryer).
We recommend using super glue (cyanoacrylate / CA glue).
