Each city-state of the Thenian Coalition maintains its own Rangers Guild, a specialized order tasked with protecting the realm from threats beyond the safety of the Hollows. Stationed along the outer reaches of settled territory, these hunters keep watch for wandering beasts and other dangers that might threaten nearby settlements or travellers.
Clad in light mail and trained for speed, Rangers-Guild Hunters excel at ranged combat, favouring bows and crossbows. They strike quickly before withdrawing to more advantageous ground, making careful use of the terrain and their knowledge of the surrounding wilderness. Most operate alone or in small groups, tracking their quarry over great distances when necessary.
Though bound to their guilds by duty, hunters are sometimes found far beyond their assigned territories. Some accompany expeditions into unfamiliar lands, while others lend their skills to allied causes or anyone with sufficient need for an experienced tracker.
