By custom, every Great and Major Clan bestows the title of Champion upon one of its finest warriors. Some rise far beyond the reputation of their clan, earning legendary renown and becoming the subject of songs told throughout the Empire.
A Champion embodies the principles and martial traditions of their clan. Their skill and standing make them valuable beyond the battlefield, and they are often entrusted with sensitive matters as emissaries or agents of their lord.
