Gargoyle

In technical terms, Gargoyles are a smaller and more agile variation of the traditional Golem. Though they lack the raw strength of their larger counterparts, their speed makes them no less dangerous. They are particularly effective when stalking rooftops or hunting through the narrow streets of a city at night, their eyes glowing with arcane light.

Gargoyles are often crafted with great attention to appearance, making them as much works of art as instruments of war. Their sculpted forms vary greatly depending on the whims of their creator, though wings and bestial features are common. This has made them particularly popular among wealthy summoners and as guardians of temples throughout the Sand Kingdoms.

When unleashed, a Gargoyle is a relentless predator. Its smaller frame allows it to pursue targets into places larger constructs cannot reach, while its agility makes it especially dangerous in confined spaces.

“It might be somewhat appealing to look at. After all, it is a work of art. But only its master gets to do that. Everyone else is too busy running.”
