The Musha embody the restless spirit of young and aspiring bushi who willingly leave behind the comforts of hearth and clan in pursuit of personal mastery through 武者修行 (musha shugyō), the practice of travelling to refine one’s martial prowess.

A Musha seeks growth through experience, viewing combat not merely as a means of destruction, but as a path to cultivation. They wander from province to province, seeking worthy opponents in honorable duels and joining foreign hosts in distant conflicts. For them, every encounter offers a chance to test their skill and advance further along the warrior’s path.
